Other Blogs

Ok, so upon re-reading our blog sheet, I realized that I really didn’t so as well on the blogs as I thought lol, so I figured I should probably work on that while there’s still time. So I looked at a random blog first. It was this girl who mostly wrote about her ex-husband and then her very painful break-up with her recent boyfriend. It was good, though didn’t really relate to class much, so I looked at another random one: http://popseoul.com/2008/12/16/yoobin-of-wondergirls-says-please-stop/ . It’s basically about how this chic in a band called Wondergirls is begging her fans to stop pointing out that she’s slightly bigger than the rest of the girls in the band. I read the headline and I was curious so I clicked the link and there’s a picture of the three of them. I had a hard time trying to figure out which one was supposed to be fat. They’re all in great shape as far as I can tell…it was kind of irritating that people would call this girl fat…

At any rate, that really doesn’t relate to class either, so I started checking out the blogs from the list. Amy Elkins blog had some really cool, some what odd photos in it (mostly I just liked the doughnut at the top lol). The next one I found interesting because it was a different kind of blog. In my JMC History class we were talking about shield laws and and bloggers and do bloggers count as journalists, and I didn’t really think so. From my own experience of blogs, I thought mostly they were just like diary entries, but this blog read more like a news story, so it kind of gave me a fresh perspective on the situation…it would have been interesting to see this before that JMC History lecture.

Ok, I just wanted to check out one more: the laughlines blog. I just saw the clip of President Bush being attacked by a guy throwings shoes ( http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&q=guy%20throws%20shoes%20at%20bush&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv# ) so I thought it was hilarious that some of the top posts on this site are about that incident…I chuckled heartily. At any rate, I really don’t want to further this rambling much more, so with that….HAVE A GOOD BREAK! :D
